I-PARTsolutions
is the combination of the successful and CAD independent
standard part system PARTsolution from Cadenas with the CAD/CAE
system I-deas from SDRC. What benefit and potential has the
system to the user?
I-PARTsolutions is fully integrated with I-deas and is
launched directly from the I-deas icon panel. I-PARTsolutions
provides rapid access to part catalogs and then assures that
this data is properly integrated with the user’s working
assembly and the site’s team data.
Powerful search, filter and preview capabilities allow the I-deas
user to quickly select and then position 3D solid parts
within the active assembly and automatically avoid duplicate
data in I-deas part libraries.
The data is created on the fly in native I-deas format. The I-deas
Team Data Manager is fully supported. The first time a
part or assembly is created it will be stored in a library.
When the same part is selected a second time, I-PARTsolution will
reference the library part or assembly to prevent data
redundancy.
The user will profit from a large variety of standard parts.
Many suppliers of catalog parts are providing their data in
PARTsolutions format, which is available on all major CAD
Systems.
Standard 3D parts and features in I-PARTsolutions also contain
“cosmetics” information (e.g. thread details) that is then
processed onto the detailed drawing. This allows drawing
compliance with ISO, DIN and ANSI specifications.
You can update you standard part catalogs any time online from
the PARTserver.
Additional applications like PARTshaft (shaft generator) or
PARTconnection will ease the work of your designers.
A connection of the standard part data base to your PDM / ERP
system is easy to create and administer. Your company specific
part numbers and logistic information are available for all
I-PARTsolutions users.
With simple development tools you can create your company own
standard parts and provide a large variety of parts in a short
time to your designers. Even I-deas native parts can be
managed by the system with the advantage of easy search and
preview functionality.
