New ASAM standard OpenDRIVE in DYNA4 simulation environment

The ASAM (Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems)  pursues the vision that the tools used in the automotive development process chain should be freely interconnected and allow a seamless exchange of data. TESIS joined the ASAM association in 2014 and has been supporting the further development of the standards and the application in virtual test driving since.

For the development of driver assistance systems and autonomous driving functions, the standardization of road and environment information is a key factor. For this reason, the road and environment definition OpenDRIVE has become an ASAM standard in September 2018. In the vehicle and environment simulation software DYNA4 the OpenDRIVE road model is already seamlessly integrated. Therefore, virtual test driving on OpenDRIVE roads is possible without conversion.

TESIS simulation software is designed open and modular in order to support continous design processes in ECU and components development. In consequence, TESIS simulation environments provide various interfaces for hardware and software, including several ASAM standards.
